Hollywood man tries to lure children with candy, BSO says

Report says Damian Fletcher offered candy to 2 kids, wanted them to give him hug

WEST PARK, Fla. – A Hollywood man was arrested Saturday after he tried to lure two children with candy, according to a Broward Sheriff's Office report.

Damian Fletcher, 32, faces two counts of luring or enticing a child.

According to the affidavit, Fletcher approached the two children, ages 11 and 9, at the Carver Ranches Branch Library in West Park and said, "Hey, would you like some candy?"

The report said Fletcher also asked the children to come with him "on the bus, and we will go get candy together and then I can take you places." The report said Fletcher also told them, "I want to give you a hug. Come here and give me a hug."

Both children said they didn't know the man, and their parents said they had never seen him before.

As Fletcher was being booked, he said, "I just wanted some p---y," the arresting deputy wrote in his report.
