VERO BEACH, Fla. – A homeless man walked into a Florida grocery store Tuesday morning holding a human skull.
According to a post on the Indian River County Sheriff's Office Facebook page, the man walked into the store and asked a maintenance worker to tell authorities that there were human remains in the woods across U.S. Highway 1.

Deputies found the remains about 200 feet east of the highway. They said the bones had been slightly scattered, likely by animals.
Detectives said the woods are known to be a homeless hangout.
The remains were taken to a medical examiner's office to determine the victim's identity and cause of death.
