Hooters gives Sunrise Rockies new uniforms, caps

Restaurant employees attend games, help team

SUNRISE, Fla. – South Florida Hooters restaurants have teamed up with the Sunrise Rockies to outfit the team's players with uniforms and ball caps.

Several “Hooters girls” have attended every game for the past few Sundays to assist the baseball team, comprised of physically and mentally challenged children and adults.

On one of those days, the players were surprised with brand-new uniforms and hats.

Prior to the donation, the Rockies only had team T-shirts to wear during their games at Sunrise Athletic Complex.

"The Hooters Girls are very helpful taking the kids around the bases and getting us new uniforms," Rockies coach Thomas O’Sullivan said. "It is a pleasure to have them work with us."
