House of Horrors opens in Miami

Haunted house features more than 30 themed rooms

MIAMI – The walking dead, creepy clowns and serial ax murderers have descended on South Florida, as the area's largest Halloween amusement park and haunted house opens its doors once again.

House of Horrors at Miami International Mall now features a haunted house with more than 30 themed rooms, all new animatronics and motion-activated props, carnival games, rides and even Hulk Hogan's Microchip Championship Wrestling.

A nationally televised escape artist is also being featured at the amusement park this year.

Organizers told Local 10 they have been working on the haunted house since last year.

The haunted house is filled with elaborate sets that tell stories of murder and ghosts. Actors are placed throughout the house and also walk among attendees out in the park.

Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 6-11 p.m., Friday through Saturday 5 p.m. to midnight, and Sundays 5-11 p.m.

Park admission is $25 for adults and $15 for children 6 and under. Tickets include unlimited rides, special attractions, concerts and one entry into the haunted house.

HOH runs through Nov. 2.
