Hurricanes take on the Cardinals at the Russell Athletic Bowl

Marks Miami's first appearance since 2010

ORLANDO – No. 25 Miami Hurricanes will face the No. 18 Louisville Cardinals in the 2013 Russell Athletic Bowl at Orlando's Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium. The game will kick off at 6:45 p.m. Saturday night.

This will be Miami's 35th bowl appearance and first since 2010 when self-imposing NCAA postseason sanctions prevented the Hurricanes from playing.

The Hurricanes have won nine games for the first time since 2009 and look to win their first bowl game since 2006.

The Russell Athletic Bowl will be the 12th series meeting between the schools with Miami holding a 9-1-1 series advantage. It will be the first series meeting since 2006, when No. 15 Miami lost 31-7 at No. 12 Louisville.

Hurricanes coach Al Golden says that his team is in one of the greatest places there is in college football and that they have gone through a tough time.  A win Saturday night would mark the Canes' 10th win of the season.
