ICE officer gun discharges, shot in leg

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - An ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations officer was shot in the leg after his gun accidentally went off in Miami Beach Saturday morning, federal officials said.

The officer had given assistance to a Miami Beach police officer that was conducting a non-immigration-related traffic stop when the weapon discharged.

The ICE officer was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

No other information was released.
