PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. -

Inspectors with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation were busy last week.

Rodents, roaches and food out of temperature were some of the violations found throughout South Florida.

Below is a list of restaurants and some of the violations.

All of the places listed were allowed to re-open following ordered clean up and re-inspections.

LAUDERHILL 

5 VIOLATIONS

 

"Roach activity present as evidenced by live roaches found. Observed 10 roaches in the sink and drain area under the sprayer hose by the dish machine. 6 roaches in the small drain area to the left of the dish machine. 2 roaches on the floor under the sprayer hose by the dish machine. 2 roaches on a shelf on the cook's line where spices are stored. 1 roach on a shelf at the end of the cook's line where soiled wiping cloths are kept. 1 roach running across the floor on the cook's line."

"Stop Sale issued on potentially hazardous (time/temperature control for safety) food due to temperature abuse."

"All potentially hazardous (time/temperature control for safety) foods in walk-in cooler cold held at greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit. Stop sale issued at the call back inspection conducted earlier today. Al food that was not stop saled, was moved to another working cooler."

"Walk-in cooler not maintaining potentially hazardous (time/temperature control for safety) food at proper temperatures. Do not store potentially hazardous (time/temperature control for safety) food in this unit until the unit is capable of maintaining foods at 41 degrees Fahrenheit or colder."

Approx. 5 live roaches behind small cooler on the front cook line and front counter area , approx. 10 live roaches behind the English muffin speed rack on the front cook line and front counter area , appox. 5 live behind the bread speed rack in the front cook-line and front counter area, 1 live roach under the beverage cooler next to the flat surface grill, approx 10 live behind reach in cooler on cook line."

"Rodent activity present as evidenced by rodent droppings found, 1 under oven, semi moist, 5 under hand washing sink,semi moist, approx. 10 by hot water heater, dry."

"Ice chute soiled/build up of mold-like substance/slime, ice machine."

"Roach activity present as evidenced by live roaches found. Observed 8 on cookline and 10-12 in dry storage area for a total of approximately 18-20 live roaches."

"Live, small flying insects in food preparation area. Observed on cookline."

"Dead roaches on premises. Observed approximately 12-15."

"Reach-in cooler not maintaining potentially hazardous (time/temperature control for safety) food at proper temperatures. Do not store potentially hazardous (time/temperature control for safety) food in this unit until the unit is capable of maintaining foods at 41 degrees Fahrenheit or colder. Observed in Flip top unit raw chicken 50°f, cooked pork 49°, cooked shrimp 48°, raw beef 48°. Operator lowered temperature setting and will monitor as a Corrective Action."

"Rodent activity present as evidenced by 12 plus fresh rodent droppings found in kitchen behind cooking equipment and 11 plus fresh rodent droppings found in kitchen next to reach in freezer."

"Roach activity present as evidenced by approximately 6 live roaches found in kitchen on pots and pans in storage."

"License is expired and is more than 60 after expiration date."

"Plumbing system in disrepair. Below hws in bathroom. Repeat Violation."

"Build-up of soil/debris on the floor along the walls, baseboards, cabinets and/or equipment."

"Clean utensils or equipment stored in dirty drawer or rack."

"Roach activity present as evidenced by live roaches found. Observed 10 live roaches in the kitchen inside the gaskets of the walk in cooler. Observed 1 live roach crawling on a garbage can in the kitchen. Totaling 11 live roaches."

"Roach activity present as evidenced by live roaches found. a total of 30 plus live roaches, 5 live roaches walking on the wall over the three compartment sink, 5 live roaches behind the mop sink and 20 plus live roaches in between the cracks of the wood around the swinging door that leads from the kitchen to the dining room."

"Accumulation of black/green mold-like substance in the interior of the ice machine."

"Certified Food Manager or person in charge lacks knowledge of employee health policy and health requirements."

Food has been cooling overnight. See stop sale. Cooked pork cool overnight found at 62° , cooked bean cool overnight found at 64°."
