Jill Su, 59, stabbed multiple times during home invasion in Davie, police say

Report: Knife used in killing found on doormat outside front door of home

DAVIE, Fla. – Jill Su, 59, died from multiple stab wounds during a home invasion, according to the arrest report for Dayont'e Resiles, 20, which was released Monday.

The report indicates police found Su's body on Sept. 8 in the bathroom of the master bedroom at 10327 SW 22 Place in Davie. Her body, only clothed in underpants, was lying supine with her hands and feet bound.

Blood believed to have come from Su was found throughout the home in the upscale West Ridge community. There was also a knife found on the doormat outside the front door which had both Su's and Resiles' DNA on it.

A belt was also found near the foyer which contained a mixture of at least three people's DNA, including that of both Su and Resiles, according to data collected in the Crime Laboratory Analysis Report.

According to the arrest report, Resiles broke into the home by shattering the rear glass door near the living room. Police said drawers in the master bedroom and another bedroom seemed to have been rummaged through.

Resiles is being held on no bond at the Broward County main jail.
