MIAMI - Vice President Joe Biden is among the keynote speakers scheduled to address thousands of Miami Dade College graduates at their May commencement ceremony.
The vice president is expected to lead the ceremony on the college's Kendall campus May 4. He will address students graduating from the school's InterAmerican and Homestead campuses.
Nearly 15,000 students will graduate in five ceremonies representing MDC's seven campuses and two outreach centers. All of the ceremonies are held May 4, either at the Kendall Campus Gymnasium or the Bank United Center at the University of Miami.
Other speakers include the presidents of New York University, University of Nebraska, Duke University and the Ford Foundation.
Each will be presented with an honorary degree from Miami Dade College.
In 2011, President Barack Obama delivered the commencement speech for nearly 3,000 students graduating from MDC.
