Prosecutors said Barahona was found inside a truck on Interstate 95 in West Palm Beach on Feb. 14, 2011. The body of his foster daughter, Nubia, was found in the back of the truck. Her twin brother, Victor, was found in the front seat of the truck, critically burned by chemicals. He has recovered from those injuries.

Carmen and Jorge Barahona, the twins' foster parents, are charged with first-degree murder in the death of Nubia Barahona.

They have both pleaded not guilty and are being held without bond. They face the death penalty if convicted.
