Judge denies bond for Ivan Wong

Wong accused of killing 2, injuring 3 others

MIAMI – The man accused of killing two people and injuring three others in a domestic dispute Sunday was denied bond on Tuesday morning.

Ivan Wong stood before the judge -- cross-armed and stone faced. The 41-year-old donned a green suicide watch vest designed to keep him from hurting himself.

The chaos unfolded Sunday where, according to the arrest affidavit, Wong drove to 15940 S.W. 103rd Place to confront his estranged wife, 42-year-old Mabel Figueroa, who he believed was having an affair.

When he arrived, Wong was confronted by his brother-in-law - 44-year-old Michel Figueroa. Police say Wong shot and killed him. Surveillance cameras captured what happened next.

Police say Wong got in to his white Ford F-350 and ran over Mabel Figueroa, killing her. Wong also crashed the truck into the home, injuring three others and ending two of them to the hospital.

Wong remains behind bars, while his father-in-law, 70-year-old Modesto Figueroa - is still in the hospital in stable condition.

Also injured in the incident were Maria Gutierrez and Erneston Cardenas.
