KID organization asking for donations amid federal shutdown

Items will help children, families of Broward County community

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A Fort Lauderdale organization is asking for the public's help in dropping off certain items to their campus as the federal shutdown continues.

According to KID, Inc., WIC funding has been affected because of the recent government shutdown.

As a result, the organization is asking for baby formula, baby food, shelf-stable milk products, infant or toddler snacks, and much more.

KID said the items will help the children and families of the Broward County community.

Donations may be dropped off at their campus, located at:
