MIAMI BEACH, Fla. -

Local 10's Scott Padgett was the Master of Ceremonies at the 25th annual AIDS Walk Miami Sunday morning on Miami Beach.

Hundreds of people walked the 3.1 mile course around Miami Beach with Padgett, raising money for Care Resource in the process. The organization is South Florida's oldest and largest HIV/AIDS community organization.

According to its website, it provides primary medical care, counseling, and more to over 15,000 Miami-Dade and Broward county residents who are either affected by or infected with HIV/AIDS.

"There's ever more increasing need," the CEO of the organization, Rick Siclari, told Padgett. "These kind of monies are critical because what it allows us to do is fill in those gaps, where someone may need care and would not otherwise be able to get it."

AIDS Walk's website shows it had already raised more than $255,000 before the walk began. If you're interested in donating to the cause, click here for more information.
