Police investigating after 2 found dead in Hallandale Beach home

HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Detectives are investigating after two people were found dead in a home in Hallandale Beach Tuesday morning, according to the city’s police department.

The home is located in the 200 block of Southeast Eighth Street, about two blocks west of Gulfstream Park.

“We saw the police officers and the fire rescue so we thought it was someone who was hurt or something,” said neighbor Marina Alvarado. “This surprised because this a quiet neighborhood. I’ve been living here 40 years.”

Video from Sky 10 showed first responders donning hazmat suits before entering the home. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue crews were also at the scene.

Neighbors believe the two bodies belong to a father and son, Mike and Eddie Lindstedt, who they said have lived in the home for years.

“I just seem them pass by but I never had a conversation with them,” said Alvarado.

While authorities haven’t identified the pair or said whether detectives have determined a suspected cause of death, Capt. Megan Jones, a police spokesperson, said there was “no indication” of foul play.
