DANIA BEACH, Fla. — Exclusive surveillance video obtained by Local 10 News captured the moments leading up to a deadly multi-vehicle crash in Dania Beach on Saturday evening.
The video shows a white BMW convertible traveling along East Dania Beach Boulevard before losing control near Southeast Second Avenue.
The car spiraled through the median, ripped through a sign and crashed head-on into a Mercedes-Benz traveling in the opposite direction.
Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue officials said one person died. Deputies have not identified the victim or released their age.
Six other people were injured in the crash, including two minors and four adults. All were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
One witness described hearing the crash.
“We were in the car, then we got to the house, then we got upstairs. When we got upstairs, we just heard a ‘boom.’ Then we get to the pool, we seen it was that BMW,” Maya said.
