TAMPA - Busch Gardens Tampa is taking thrill seekers to new heights next spring.
The theme park announced Tuesday it's next ride.
The Falcon's Fury will reportedly be the tallest freestanding drop tower in North America.
The falcon, the fastest animal on earth that can reach speeds of 200 miles per hour, was the inspiration for designers. Falcon's Fury will stand at 335 feet. It will pivot riders 90 degrees in midair to a face-down position, then drop them at 60 miles per hour at 3.5 Gs.
Construction has already begun in the Timbuktu area of the park. The ride is scheduled to open in 2014.
Falcon's Fury will be the biggest addition to the park since the Cheetah Hunt roller coaster opened in May 2011. The park recently raised the price of a single-day ticket to $89 for adults and $81 for children.
