WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - A civil lawsuit in the case of a South Florida polo mogul convicted of drunken-driving manslaughter has been dismissed.

Rumors have swirled of a settlement in the civil case against John Goodman, who was found guilty last month in a criminal case. Though attorneys haven't confirmed a settlement, published reports Monday said the civil suit has been dismissed, a likely indication one has been reached.

The civil suit was filed by the parents of the young man killed in Goodman's drunken 2010 wreck.

The Houston native is due to be sentenced April 30 in that case and faces up to 30 years in prison.
