Coconut Grove Arts Festival continues through Monday

Road closures to impact traffic in Coconut Grove

COCONUT GROVE, Fla. – The Coconut Grove Arts Festival is celebrating its 50th anniversary this Presidents Day weekend. Thousands of people are expected to attend the three-day long event, which features more than a mile of exhibit booths.

The festival's website calls the event a "Celebration of the Arts." More than 360 internationally recognized artists will be on hand to show off their work, including those with backgrounds in visual, culinary, and performing arts.

The festival is open from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m., Saturday through Monday. Special events and performances will be held each day throughout the festival. Click here for a schedule.

Admission & Tickets

Admission is $10 per person over age 13. The event is free for children ages 12 and under. Coconut Grove residents with a 33133 zip code can attend for just $5, but must bring a proof of residency to get the discount.

Road Closures

Several roads will be shut down until Monday at 11 p.m.

South Bayshore Drive from McFarlane Road to Pan American Drive, McFarlane Road from Main Highway to Mary Street, and SW 27th Avenue from South Bayshore Drive to Tigertail Avenue are closed to vehicular traffic during that time.

Additionally, the Miami Police Department will have detours set up along surrounding roads to make sure traffic is moving smoothly throughout the area. Those detours will be primarily along Aviation Avenue and SW 27th Avenue.
