MIAMI - Downed power lines forced the closure of Biscayne Boulevard between northeast 36th Street and 39th Street on Tuesday night.

Miami Fire Department officials said the lines came crashing down after a transformer blew just before 6 p.m.

No one was injured. However, some of the power lines fell on top of a car at a nearby Shell station. The car was being vacuumed by it's owner.

Miami Fire officials said the power lines were not charged by the time they hit the car.
