NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. - Traffic came to a crawl along I-95 at the Golden Glades after a police involved car accident.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the incident started with one accident in the express lanes just after 3 a.m. Saturday. A short time later, authorities said a second car crashed into the responding police car and an FHP patrol car. The driver also hit a person standing near the original crash scene, authorities said.
The victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
No charges were immediately filed as police continued to investigate.
All lanes were reopened by 7 a.m.
