MIAMI - An FIU assistant woman's basketball coach was inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.
Inge Nissen was inducted over the weekend in Knoxville, Tenn.
Nissen has been with the Panthers for 24 seasons.
Prior to joining FIU, Nissen had a remarkable playing career both collegiately and professionally.
She was one of the top amateur players in Europe in the early 1970s.
Nissen led Old Dominion to a top-15 national ranking in each of her four years in college.
