FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A 20-year-old man was convicted of child sex trafficking.
Deangelo Jones was convicted of one count of conspiracy to commit child sex trafficking and two counts of child sex trafficking.
Fort Lauderdale Police arrested Jones in June. Investigators said Jones was prostituting young girls at various hotels in the city, and also taking pictures of them and putting the photos on the internet.
When he was arrested, Jones was with a 14-year-old girl, later identified as one of his prostitutes, said police. The girl, previously reported as a runaway, was returned to the shelter where she lives.
