Customers in the food court were the first to be evacuated before shoppers in the popular mall's west wing were also told to move outside.

Photos sent to Local 10 showed shoppers standing outside the Macy's department store.

An employee working at a store far removed from the food court expressed that they had also smelled gas.

After an investigation, no gas leak was found and the mall was reopened for business.
