PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – Emmy-winning children's television show host, Benjamin Franklin Green, 68, of Pembroke Pines, passed away on December 27.
Green was born in Washington, DC on June 1, 1944.

He graduated from Jones High School and received a bachelor's degree in Secondary Education from Southern University and a master's degree in Music Education from F.I.U.
Green worked as a teacher for North Hialeah Elementary, Lake Stevens Middle School, Norland Senior High School and Jane S. Roberts.
During his career, he won two Emmys for his work on the television show, Duck, Duck, Goose, a show in which he served as co-host.
Green is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patricia Green, sister Christell Engram Benson, three children Rachia Green, Yoshika Green, and Sherria Green. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Pinkey Green and his brother, Samuel.
Green's funeral will be held Saturday, January 5, at 10 a.m. at the Grace Church of Kendall, 8100 SW 104th Street. Pastor Steve Alessi of Metro Life Church will be officiating.
Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. – 11 p.m., Friday, January 4, at Boyd-Panciera Family Funeral Home, 100 South Douglas Road in Pembroke Pines.
He will be buried at Vista Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 14200 NW 57th Avenue in Miami Lakes.
