Dolphins CEO Mike Dee made it official Wednesday, saying that the logo that had been leaked on the Internet was indeed the real deal.

Dolphins Hall of Fame coach Don Shula is showing his approval for the team's new look.

Shula tweeted, "Glad to see the new logo... has all the same colors from our great 70's & 80's teams. A new look for a new era. Go Dolphins!"

Over the weekend the logo was leaked via a Twitter account. Since then, various reports had confirmed that the leaked artwork was indeed the real deal.

Even one of the team's own players spilled the beans earlier Wednesday. Defensive End Jared Odrick tweeted out a picture of himself wearing a t-shirt with the new logo; an image that Dee also retweeted to his followers.

Also on Wednesday, the NFL.com website accidently posted the logo on their "Predict the Draft Pick" page. The page was quickly taken down.

Featuring a meaner and sleeker looking dolphin, the logo is similar to Miami's traditional look as the mammal is still flying through a sunburst. According to the Miami Herald, the team's new uniforms will also feature white facemasks.

The Dolphins will unveil their new uniforms on April 25, the first night of the NFL Draft.
