MIAMI – Police are looking for four men -- including one armed with an Uzi and another with a handgun -- who robbed Solano, a bill payment center at 3619 NW 17th Ave., on November 2.
About 8:20 p.m., three of the robbers walked up to the front door but someone inside tried stopping them from entering. Two of the robbers pushed him away while the third stood outside as a look out.
Once inside, the robbers forced everyone to the ground and began stealing thousands of dollars in cash, purses, and cell phones.
While one continued to steal, the other pointed his Uzi at a woman and her 4-year-old daughter.
"It's quite disturbing for us how they manhandled this 4-year-old, little girl," said Miami Police Sgt. Freddie Cruz.
Those two and the third outside then got into a waiting dark-colored Chevy Impala and drove away.
Police described the man armed with the Uzi as being in his late teens. He was last seen wearing a dark hoodie and pants.
"These individuals had a magazine that can hold up to 30 rounds. We've see what this can do on the street, we've seen what this can do in a combat zone," said Cruz. At any given moment, he could've sprayed the whole business and taken six lives."
Police described the man with the handgun as being between 18 and 25 years old. He was last seen wearing a black shirt and army fatigue pants.
The lookout was described as being in his 20s and was last seen wearing a black shirt and black hoodie with a GENESIS logo. The driver was described as being in his 20s and last seen wearing a multi-colored tank top.
