New I-595 ramp open to drivers

DAVIE – Drivers on I-595 have a new exit ramp as of Tuesday morning.

The new ramp goes from the I-595 to the southbound Florida Turnpike. The new exit is just south of I-595, which is about a mile north of the exit ramp's old location. It gives motorists the option to exit directly from I-595 to Griffin road.

The ramp is part of the ongoing I-595 Express Corridor Improvements Project. The project consists of the reconstruction of the interstate's mainline from the I-75/Sawgrass Expressway interchange to the I-595/I-95 interchange. The total project spans 13 miles.
