FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A Pompano Beach woman has been accused of stealing about $2,000 worth of merchandise from Neiman Marcus in Fort Lauderdale, according to authorities.
Sandra Weddie, 57, was arrested for grand theft Tuesday, police said.
It happened at the store's Galleria Mall location after loss prevention employees saw Weddie put store items inside her handbag, police said.
According to authorities, Weddie left the store without attempting to pay for the merchandise.
Police said loss prevention employees stopped Weddie inside the parking garage.
According to the police report, Weddie works at a consignment store.
