Shooting victim's family asks for public's help

Fredrick Duberry shot, killed in June 2012

DORAL, Fla. – The family of a man shot and killed in front of his Palmetto Bay home made a public plea Tuesday morning to find his shooter.

Fredrick Duberry was shot and killed in front of his house at Southwest 175th Street and 92nd Avenue on June 16, 2012.

Duberry, 44, had just arrived home from working as a club promoter about 2:30 a.m. when he was shot, according to Miami-Dade police.

"How can one person not understand what has been done to this family," said Margaret John, Duberry's mother. "Whomever is responsible, someone has to know something."

Investigators say surveillance video captured an armed man shoot Duberry several times.

"I heard gunshots," said Gloria Hall, the victim's girlfriend and mother of their two children. "When I went outside, I found him there. It was like so unreal."

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 305-471-2400 or Crimestoppers at 305-471-TIPS.

"Someone has to know something. Please, don't tell me that you don't know anything," said John.

"If you did it, come and confess," said Frederick Duberry, Jr. "I think I would forgive him but come and confess."
