Mail carrier attacked during robbery in Pembroke Park

20-year veteran postal employee struck in head, robbed of keys

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – A mail carrier was struck in the head during a robbery Thursday in Pembroke Park.

Broward Sheriff's Office detectives and U.S. Postal Service investigators said the mail carrier was attacked while on his route along Southwest 52nd Avenue about 3 p.m. and robbed of his keys.

The 20-year veteran postal employee was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital.

Investigators said they are looking for two culprits.
