Man accused of exposing himself to young girls in Coral Springs

Jorge Garcia, 30, held on $500,000 bond

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – A man accused of exposing himself to young children in Coral Springs is behind bars.

Police said Jorge Garcia, 30, is a serial flasher who has been terrorizing young female children throughout the city.

"You allegedly pull up, expose yourself and behave in a lewd manner in front of this 12-year-old girl who is sitting in a car waiting for her mother inside the store," Judge John Hurley said to Garcia in bond court Thursday.

According to an arrest report, Garcia pulled his pickup truck alongside where the girl was sitting outside a Walgreens on April 24, pulled out his penis and began masturbating in front of her.

Days later on April 30, police said a concerned citizen called 911 after Garcia pulled his truck alongside another young girl who was walking on the sidewalk and began talking to her. A passing school bus driver said he saw that Garcia had his penis exposed and yelled at the child to run away.

The concerned citizen followed Garcia's truck and provided police with his license plate number. The person told officers that Garcia also stopped alongside two other young girls who ran away from him.

"It's not safe with you on the street," Hurley told Garcia. "Your bond's $500,000 pretrial release."

Garcia is charged with lewd or lascivious exhibition.
