According to an arrest report, officials with the Florida National Guard discovered that more than $39,000 worth of military equipment and supplies had been stolen in May from a secured and locked area of the armory.

In September, an embossing machine to make dog tags that is worth more than $3,000 was found at Otero's former home.

Detectives said a witness later claimed to have seen Otero bringing the machine to the home and leaving it under the stairs.

Lenin and his brother, Jonathan Otero, are also suspects in the 2013 murder of an off-duty TSA agent.

While they have not been formally charged in the case, Lenin is already facing multiple white-collar crime charges, including racketeering/RICO, organized fraud, forgery and insurance fraud.
