Man arrested in Tri-Rail shooting

John Morris Miller, 34, arrested Thursday

MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – Police arrested a man in connection with the Tri-Rail shooting that took place Thursday.

A security officer was shot, as he tried to remove a passenger from a Tri-Rail train at the the Golden Glades Station, spokeswoman Bonnie Arnold said. The passenger was also shot.

John Morris Miller, 34, was booked Thursday on several charges, including battery to a public transit employee, firearm use/display while committing a felony, firearm discharge in public and two counts of premeditated, attempted murder.
