MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A man attempted to abduct an 11-year-old girl Tuesday morning while she was walking to her bus stop in northwest Miami-Dade, authorities said.

The incident was reported about 6:30 a.m. in the area of Northwest 103rd Street and Seventh Avenue near a Bravo Supermarket.

According to Miami-Dade police, a man in a black Chevrolet S-10 stopped his pickup truck and started speaking to the girl.

The driver of the truck is described by police only as a black man.
