Man bound during Miami home invasion

Victim's stepmother finds man tied up on floor hours later

MIAMI – A man was robbed and bound during a home invasion in Miami, police said.

The robbery was reported about 1:30 a.m. Aug. 22 at a home on Northwest 21st Terrace and 18th Avenue.

Police said the victim was sleeping when he heard a noise coming from outside his bedroom.

As he got up to check, the bedroom door swung open and an armed man demanded money from him, police said.

According to police, two other men were inside the home searching and ransacking the residence as the victim was ordered to lay face down on the living room floor.

Police said one of the robbers shoved the victim's head in to a pillow case, stomped on his face and tied his hands and feet.

The victim's stepmother discovered him on the floor several hours later when she arrived home.

Police said a firearm was stolen during the home invasion.

The robbers are believed to be three black men who range in age from 19 to 30.
