A woman is dead after being stabbed in her Parkland home Sunday.
Officials were called to 12471 Northwest Manor after reports of a possible stabbing at approximately 11:13 p.m.
When deputies arrived at the home they found the body of 53-year-old Dacota Stewart-Dick on the floor with apparent stab wounds. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said the incident began as a domestic disturbance between Stewart-Dick and her estranged husband, 38-year-old Alrick Oral Brown.
They say Brown called 911 to say he had accidentally stabbed his wife after getting into a fight with her. Brown said he drank Clorox because he wanted to die with her.
According to the arrest report, Brown told detectives he stabbed his wife during the argument began after he confronted her about kissing another man.
Investigators say that when police arrived, Brown confessed.
They found pools of blood in the master bedroom and kitchen. A mirror in the bedroom had the word "Sorry" written in what appeared to be blood.
He was charged with murder.
The family has no prior history of law enforcement calls to the residence. Court records show the victim had filed for divorce last fall.
Brown is in the hospital and will be transferred to the county jail to face murder charges.
