Man crashes vehicle after being shot in Tamarac, BSO deputies say

Deputies: Devon Williams attempted to drive away after being struck

TAMARAC, Fla. – A man who crashed his vehicle after being shot has been taken to a hospital, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.

The shooting happened about 4 a.m. Saturday in a parking lot in the 5300 block of State Road 7 in Tamarac.

Devon Williams, 27, and two other men left the Players Bar and went across the street to the Vintage Wine and Sports Bar parking lot to hang out with a large group of people who had gathered in the lot, deputies said.

An argument ensued and several shots were fired by an unknown man. Deputies said Williams was struck by two projectiles.

Williams ran to a Dodge Charger and attempted to drive away, but crashed into a parked box truck, deputies said. He then got out of the Dodge Charger and ran east across State Road 7 to Players Sports Bar, where he was found by deputies.

Deputies said Williams was taken to Broward Health Medical Center. His condition was not given.
