Man critically injured after stabbing at Miami nightclub

Police: Victim, attacker both with group of friends at Mekka Sunday morning

MIAMI – A man remains in critical condition after he was stabbed multiple times outside a nightclub in downtown Miami over the weekend.

Miami police said Marlon Sanchez, 31, and his attacker were both with a group of friends at Mekka at 950 NE Second Ave. early Sunday morning.

Police said the two got into an argument outside the club, and that's when the attacker retrieved an object from the truck of a black BMW before repeatedly stabbing Sanchez. Police said the attacker then got into the car with his friends, heading north against traffic on Second Avenue, which is a one-way street.

Sanchez remains in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center.

Police have not located any potential suspects.
