DANIA BEACH, Fla. – Deputies are searching for a man who dragged a woman in a Dania Beach parking lot during an attempted robbery.
According to the Broward Sheriff's Office, Rebecca Fisher, 24, was leaving Jaxson's Ice Cream Parlour & Restaurant with her parents Sunday night, when she was thrown to the ground.
The would-be robber tried to steal Fisher's purse and dragged her across the parking lot in the process, deputies said.
Fisher's parents yelled for help while trying to get the man off their daughter, and surveillance video from the restaurant showed employees and witnesses run over to help.
Witnesses were able to recover the victim's belongings while an employee pinned the attacker down. Deputies said the large man was eventually able to break free and said, "My home boys will take care of you," before running off.
