KENDALL, Fla. – A man found his mother and her boyfriend dead inside their Southwest Miami-Dade home as a result of a murder-suicide, Miami-Dade police said.
The incident took place at about 1 p.m. in the 12000 block of Southwest 50th Lane, when Lisette Iglesias’ son found his mom with an gunshot wound, and her live-in boyfriend Pastor Paez,50, with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, police said.
Both were pronounced dead at the home.
"That's horrible, it's horrible," Oscar Batista, a neighbor, said. "I can't believe that happened right here next to my house. I've lived here over 15 years, and nothing like that has ever happened here before."
A neighbor told Local 10 News that she saw a police officer respond to the home about a week ago.
"I feel sorry, I feel sorry for them," Batista said. "Everything was so calm in this neighborhood until right now."
