HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -

A man is dead after officials say his body was found inside a car that was on fire in the parking garage of the Hard Rock Casino.

A casino spokesperson said the fire detection system and the sprinklers went off at 1:30 p.m. Friday on the eighth floor of the casino's parking garage.

Seminole and Hollywood Fire rescue crews that arrived at the scene found a Toyota with the engine compartment on fire.

After putting out the fire, authorities said they found the man's body sitting behind the wheel in the driver's seat.

Reports suggested that earlier in the day the man was seen in the Toyota revving the engine, officials said.

The Broward Medical Examiner took the man's body to determine the cause of the man's death.
