PLANTATION, Fla. – A man who was found dead Monday morning on the side of Florida's Turnpike has been identified.
Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Mark Wysocky said Tuesday that the man was identified as John Westpfal, 54, of Davie.

Westpfal's body was discovered on the southbound side of the highway at the Peters Road overpass in Plantation.
Troopers are still investigating the circumstances surrounding Westpfal's death.
