Man had .342 BAC while driving with grandson in car, police say

Edgar Hernandez arrested in Central Florida

PALM COAST, Fla. – A man was arrested in Central Florida on allegations of driving drunk -- more than four times the legal limit -- with his grandson in the backseat.

Edgar Hernandez, 44, was arrested in Flagler County on charges of DUI and child neglect.

Police said Hernandez nearly hit a car in a McDonald's parking lot in Palm Coast before driving on the wrong side of the road. 

According to police, Hernandez's blood alcohol content was .342, more than four times the legal limit to drive in Florida, which is 0.08.

Neither he nor his 7-year-old grandson were injured.

Hernandez was arrested and taken to jail.  He was later released after posting bond.
