Man leaves behind young daughter after fatal Weston crash

WESTON, Fla. ā€“ Detectives have identified two people involved in a single-car crash Sunday that left one of them dead.

Broward Sheriff's Office detectives said Stephanie Perez, 27, was behind the wheel of a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer at about 7:30 p.m. that was headed north on Bonaventure Boulevard in Weston.

Detectives said Perez somehow lost control of her car and crashed into median and then a tree near the 100 block of Bonaventure Boulevard.

Perez was extracted by BSO Department of Fire Rescue crews and airlifted to Broward Health Medical Center in critical condition.

Her passenger, Nathan Bello, 24, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a GoFundMe page, Bello had a young daughter named Sophia and lived at home with his mother and younger brother.

"If you knew Nathan, you knew the amount of love he had for Sophia and his entire family," loved ones posted on the page.
