MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A man was pistol-whipped during an attempted robbery in southwest Miami-Dade County early Tuesday morning.
Miami-Dade police Detective Alvaro Zabaleta said the attempted robbery occurred at 882 SW 127th Place about 4:15 a.m.

Investigators said the attacker's gun fired as he pistol-whipped the victim.
The victim wasn't shot, but he suffered a minor laceration on his head from the attack.
Zabaleta said the culprit got away empty-handed.
