Man travels to Pembroke Pines to have sex with 15-year-old boy, police say

Brett Borges, 46, held in jail in lieu of $3,500 bond

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – A Fort Lauderdale man is facing charges after he drove to a Pembroke Pines hotel, thinking that he was meeting a 15-year-old boy to have sex, police said.

According to the arrest report, Brett Borges, 46, met the teen, which was actually an undercover detective, online.

Police say Borges stated, "Oh my," when the undercover detective told him he was 15 years old.

According to police, Borges sent the detective nude photos of himself and said he wanted to meet him so they could "play" inside his car. He also stated that he wanted the teen to give him oral sex.

Police say the detective told Borges that his parents were leaving him alone in a hotel room Thursday and Borges traveled to the hotel to meet him.

Police say Borges called the detective to tell him to meet him in the parking lot, where he was arrested by officers.

Borges was taken into custody where he was ordered held on $3,500 bond.
