HOLLYWOOD, Fla. -

Two men are being sought by Hollywood police after one of them punched and kicked two victims while attempting to steal a purse.

Hollywood police arrived around 11:30 p.m. May 8 at Van Buren Street and South 19th Avenue in reference to a robbery.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the two men approached the two victims and attempted to snatch a purse from one of them. Police said the victim held on to her purse.

One of the men got off his bicycle and dragged the victim from the sidewalk to the street. Police said both victims tried to prevent the man from taking the purse.

The man then attacked the victims by punching and kicking them, according to Hollywood police.

Both victims were taken to Hollywood Memorial Regional Hospital and were later released.

Surveillance cameras in the area captured the attack. One of the men is described by police as a black 18-year-old man who is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He wore red shorts with a white stripe, a white T-shirt and a blue knit cap. He rode a dark flat-bar bicycle.

Police described the other man involved in the incident as a black man with a thin build who wore long jeans, a white T-shirt and a dark baseball cap. Police said he rode a dark BMX-style bicycle.
