KEY WEST, Fla. – Key West police arrested a Monroe County Sheriff's Office employee Tuesday, Monroe County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Becky Herrin said.
Deonte Stemage, 21, was arrested Tuesday while working as a records assistant at the Monroe County Detention Center.

Stemage faces charges of lewd and lascivious activity on a 15-year-old girl. He was booked into the detention center on the felony charges.
Herrin said Sheriff Rick Ramsay immediately terminated Stemage from his employment. Stemage has worked for the Monroe County Sheriff's Office since Dec. 18, 2014.
