Metro PCS robbery may be linked to other crimes

Robbers gained entrance through next door business

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – Thousands of dollars in cash and cell phones were stolen from the Metro PCS at 1630 E. Sample Road in Pompano Beach after three burglars used a vacant business next door to gain access to the store.

On Aug. 7, the burglars smashed the window in the vacant business next door, then removed the adjoining wall to get into a Metro PCS storage unit.

After about three and a half hours of rummaging through the storeroom, the trio stole more than $4,000 worth of items and cash.

Police believe these same suspects may have been involved in as many as four other crimes in North Broward County within the last few months.

Anyone with any information on this crime is asked to contact Detective Marcus Williams at 954-786-4256 or Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $3,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
