Metromover back in service after body found under tracks

Body discovered at Riverwalk stop in Downtown Miami

MIAMI, Fla. – The Metromover is back in service after a body was found under the tracks at the Riverwalk stop Wednesday morning.

The station is located along Southeast Fourth Street in Downtown Miami, and was shut down around 11 a.m.

The Omni and Brickell loops were closed for several hours, but as of 3:30 p.m., service was restored to normal.

During the shutdown, shuttle buses were used to help accommodate riders.

Witnesses say it appears the man was homeless.

Police are trying to figure out how he ended up in front of the train.
